.EU Domain Registration

.eu Launch - December 7, 2005

The documents on this page form part of the .eu Registration system and contain all the information needed for the .eu launch. To access the specific documents click on the titles. A brief description of the content of the documents has been added to the links.

For the moment the documents are only available in English. Translations in all official languages will be available soon.

Sunrise Rules (annexes available soon)
(e.g. if you are the holder of a trademark or an other prior right and you want to know how to apply)

The Sunrise Rules contain a detailed description of all the technical and administrative measures and procedures that the Registry shall use and apply to ensure proper, fair and technically sound administration of the applications made by the holders of prior rights during the Sunrise Period.

Registration Policy
(e.g. if you want to know if you fulfil all requirements)

The Registration Policy specifies the steps to be followed and information to be provided when applying for a Domain Name as well as transferring, renewing etc. such registration.

Terms and Conditions
(e.g. if you want to know more about your rights as an applicant )

The Terms and Conditions lay down the rights and obligations of the Registry and the Registrant with respect to any application for registration of a Domain Name or, upon registration, with respect to the Domain Name.

.eu Dispute Resolution Rules (available soon)
(e.g. if you think that the registration of someone else’s .eu domain is speculative or abusive and you want to know what to do)

The .eu Dispute Resolution Rules lay down the principles for the resolution of disputes against a domain name holder as set out under Paragraph 22(1)(a) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 874/2004.

WHOIS Policy
(e.g. if you want to know who is the holder of a .eu Domain Name and what the Registry will do to respect your privacy)

The WHOIS Policy sets out the privacy policy concerning the collection and processing of personal data and the basic rules and procedures for the WHOIS database.
