The Virtual Name Server option allows you to create virtual
domains on your existing server. Typically, this is used to
redirect traffic from a virtual domain to the regular domain.
The virtual domain may be thought of as an alias for the regular
domain.
How to Set Up a Virtual Name Server
for Your Account
When you select the Virtual Name Server option from your
control panel, the Name Server Manager page will be displayed.
Your primary name server will be listed in the
"Primary Name Server" field, and the Name Server
Manager will automatically enter a server in the "Secondary
Name Server" field. When you click the "Install"
button, a message will display indicating that your name servers
will be setup within one hour.
In this message, select the here
link to continue and set up your virtual domains. The Name
Server Manager displays the two servers you just set up.

You still need to set up DNS (Domain Name Server)
for one of the domains you just set up. This will let you
give a virtual name to the domain server. To do this, click
on the here link below
the table. The Name Server Manager reappears.
Type the new domain name for this virtual domain
in the Domain Name field. Type the IP address (either your
primary or secondary) in the Domain IP field. Click on the
"Confirm" button. A message displays indicating
that your virtual domains will be set up within one hour.
When you return to the main page of the Name
Server Manager, your changes will be reflected in the listing
of domains. You can make changes to the new domain names using
the View, Edit, Delete, and Send Registration links.
